Make Delicious dhaba style dal tadka recipe | dal fry tadka dhaba style recipe 1. firstly, in a pressure cooker add in ½ cup toor dal, ½ cup chana dal, 3 cups water, 1 tsp oil and ½ tsp turmeric.. 2. pressure cook for 5 whistles on medium flame or till dal gets cooked well. 3. now in a large kadai heat 2 tbsp of ghee. 4. add in 1 bay leaf, 1 inch cinnamon stick and 1 tsp jeera. saute till spices turn aromatic. 5.furthermore, add in 1 finely chopped onions and saute well. 6. additionally add in 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste and saute. 7. also add in 2 finely chopped tomatoes and saute till it turns soft and mushy. 8.now add ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp aamchur powder and salt to taste. 9. saute on low flame till spices gets cooked well completely. 10. now add in pressure cooked dal and mix well. 11. add water if required and adjust the consistency. 12. simmer for 6 minutes or till dal absorbs spices. 13. now prepare the tempering or tadka by heating 1 tbsp ghee. 14. saute 2 clove garlic for a minute. 15. also add in pinch of hing, 2 dried red chilli. 16. turn off the stove and add ½ tsp red chilli powder. 17. mix well and pour the tempering / tadka over dal. 18. finally, mix the dhaba style dal tadka well and serve with hot steamed rice or roti.
